Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Facet you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, delete the app. Facet is distributed through the Apple App Store and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two conflict on distribution or licensing, Apple's terms win.

2. Facet is not medical advice — this one matters

Facet provides general lifestyle education. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, and it does not treat anything.

• The onboarding quiz produces a pattern, not a diagnosis. Patterns are a way of organising what you told us; they are not a clinical finding and should not be repeated as one.
• Facet never recommends supplement or medication doses. Supplements you track are stored as the label you typed, and the app has no opinion about the amount.
• Facet does not interpret lab values. It explains what a marker is generally about and will not tell you whether your number is high, low or concerning.
• Meal feedback is educational framing about likely glucose impact. It is not a nutrition prescription and is not suitable as a treatment plan for diabetes or any other diagnosed condition.
• Cycle information is descriptive and shown as ranges. Do not use Facet as contraception, for family planning, or to determine a fertile window.

Always talk to a qualified clinician about your health, and never delay or disregard their advice because of something you read in this app. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

3. Eating disorders

Facet is deliberately built without calorie counts, macro targets, weight-loss programmes or food grades, because PCOS carries a substantially elevated risk of disordered eating. If tracking food is making things harder for you, you can use the app without ever photographing a meal — nothing in it is gated on doing so. Please reach out to a clinician or an eating-disorder helpline in your country if you need support.

4. Subscriptions, price and renewal

• Yearly: $39.99 for the first year as an introductory offer for new subscribers, then $69.99 per year.
• Monthly: $14.99 per month.
• Lifetime: $199.99, once, non-recurring.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may differ in your region; the price you see in the App Store at purchase is the price that applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the full listed price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. There is no weekly plan.

5. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone; Facet links you straight there from its own settings. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you think something genuinely went wrong, email support@facetpcos.xyz and we will do what we can on our side.

6. Facet Access

If the price is out of reach, email access@facetpcos.xyz and we will send a code for three months of Facet at no cost. We ask no questions and require no proof. Codes are for personal use, are issued at our discretion, and are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Please don't request them in bulk — the programme survives because it is used honestly.

7. Your data and your responsibility

Your logs live on your device and in your own private iCloud. We have no copy, which means we cannot restore anything for you if you delete it, lose your device without a backup, or turn iCloud off. Keep device backups on.

8. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer the app or its services, don't attempt to extract or abuse the meal-feedback service, don't use Facet to build a competing dataset or product, and don't use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.

9. Warranty and liability

Facet is provided “as is”. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any observation it surfaces is correct for your body — the app labels its own confidence precisely because these are patterns rather than proof. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes get a new effective date above and a note in the release notes. We may suspend access for abuse of the service or of Facet Access. You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling and deleting the app.
